Hand knotted handmade rug

Conceived as works to be lived, each rug is designed by Alexis Alexis Martial and hand-knotted in collaboration with a cooperative of women from the Middle Atlas in Morocco, who, in the greatest tradition, use locally sourced virgin wool. This artisanal work on cotton weft highlights ancestral know-how in the service of a contemporary design inspired by the "Shaggy Rugs" of the 70s.

Since its foundation, AMCA OVAL has been designing functional textile objects from the “Vibrations” series designed by Alexis Martial. A graphic ensemble inspired by the intimate relationship between colors, shapes and space, applied to everyday objects for the home such as cushions, wall tapestries or rugs.

From this vision, a series of functional objects is imagined as works to be lived in daily life. All are published in limited series, cushions tufted in his Parisian workshop, a highlighting of traditional craftsmanship in the service of contemporary design.
